This message that I am typing and which you are reading was typed on my laptop with a “QWERTY” keyboard. This quirky name is derived from the first six letters in its upper left hand row. Strange as it now may seem, this keyboard layout was designed in 1873 as a feat of what I would call ‘anti-engineering’. It employs a whole series of underlying tricks designed to make or force a typist to type as slow as possible! The current layout or system scatters the most common letter keypads over all of the keyboard rows and concentrating them on the left hand side where right handed (most typist) have to use their weaker or most unproductive hand.

The reason behind all of these seemingly counter-productive features (even the locations of symbols and numbers) is that the typewriters of 1873 jammed if adjacent keys were struck in quick succession. The problem at this time in history was that the typewriter designer or manufacturer had to literally slow or dummy down the typist to sell their product.

Design improvements in typewriters and keyboards eliminated the problem of jamming and trials in 1932 with an efficiently laid out keyboard showed that it would let people double their typing speed and reduce typing effort by 95%. However, QWERTY keyboards were solidly entrenched within societies by that time for various reasons. The vested interest of millions of QWERTY typist, typing teachers, programmers, typewriter and computer sales people as well as manufacturers have continually crushed any progress toward keyboard redesign or efficiency for over 80 years!

While this message of the QWERTY keyboard may seem a bit odd or even a bit comical in retrospect, many more similarities and entrenched attitudes have had much heavier economic and more importantly, spiritual consequences. Let’s look at a more recent economic example to paint a spiritual picture and prophetic application that I hope will tie this all together and convey this revelation more clearly.

Why has Japan traditionally dominated the world market for electronic circuit based products to a degree that damages the United States’ balance of payments or trade with Japan even though most, if not all of the technology was invented and patented in the United States? It is simply because Sony had the ‘foresight’ and bought the transistor licensing rights from Western Electric at a time when the American electronic consumer industry was still churning out vacuum tube models like hot cakes and was reluctant to compete with it’s own products. People’s needs were being met in this particular season and corporate decisions rested upon the results and profit of the hour without looking toward the needs and reality of the future from a prophetic vantage.

I hope that some spiritual parallels are beginning to come into view within this QWERTY example. Many within the manufacturers of religion have purposely designed a spiritual anti-model or system intent on slowing down the users as not to replace the product which is being sold. The manufactures of religion have created a system of which negates the power of the right hand (the hand of blessing) and designed a cumbersome process and frustration of which religious systems create.

The most intriguing part of all, is that the masses or ‘product users’ in their comfortable state have resisted change for a far better product as well as better results due to past investments and corporate protectionism. Like Western Electric, which sold its patent and license based on natural perceptions and natural senses – the church has likewise sold the patented power of its birthright, creativity and it’s future blessing to mankind. The good news is that God is repossessing what has been spiritually discarded as well as foolishly sold through self-righteous, prideful and ignorant agendas. With this said, the Lord is not interested in renewing wineskins and restoring fields which the locust have devoured. The Lord is instilling fresh creativity and inventiveness within his people. The wineskins of our spiritual lives will not be re-stored or re-packaged, but newly created with a completely different shape, texture, form, and most importantly – function. The Lord is not restoring fields which are damaged and locust invested – He is providing completely new landscapes and spiritual territories to fulfill His purposes as we extent the right hand of blessing to mankind. When was the last time that you blessed mankind as a whole -rather than complaining about it?

A newly designed keyboard was designed in 1932 which would have doubled the efficiency of communication (communion and connection within the body of Christ) and was rejected by a myriad of protectionist devices and systems as stated. This date parallels with a critical time in history as the Spirit was likewise quenched within the church and lost an open window of opportunity for spiritual investment and prosperity.

The prophetic key and understanding of this message is the realization that much of what is ‘selling’ today within the religious system is the anti-anointing and engineered to slow our spiritual growth. Many people realize that the church is selling a cumbersome and outdated product and will soon manifest as spiritual bankruptcy to those who continue to market it, buy into it, and are not willing to see into the future in meeting the genuine needs and demands of mankind as the days unfold.

A capable, intelligent and virtuous woman — who is he who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels and her value if far above rubies and pearls. Proverbs 31:10

Although I am not a woman, I believe that the hour is at hand for women of God to arise and shine even and ever brighter. Years of sacrifice and service that may have felt more like bondage will be redeemed and unleashed in righteousness and power.

Your legacy is quickly unfolding and the events and conversations that lay before you must be seized with humility and a conditioned heart rather than a heart condition.

There is a true story from 2 Kings 5:2-14 which will reflect the purpose and destiny that is awaiting for you to come under.

“Now Naaman, commander of the army of the king of Syria was a great and honorable man in the eyes of his master, because by him the LORD had given victory to Syria. He was also a mighty man of valor, but a leper. And the Syrians had gone out on raids, and had brought back captive a young girl from the land of Israel. She waited on Naaman’s wife. Then she said to her mistress, “If only my master were with the prophet who is in Samaria, ‘For he would heal him of his leprosy.’”

If we really take the time to look at his account a little closer, it is truly a dramatic and compelling story. The story reflects a Syrian decorated general who is held in great esteem but at some point in his life, he had contacted leprosy (dependencies). He obviously was able to hide his issue for awhile, but as time went on, it became a life-changing trauma that medically speaking would eventually lead to his death. He was also and most likely at a time in his life where it was becoming difficult to hide his ‘issue’ and infirmity as he would have been labeled as unclean.

The time is at hand in which the Lord is bringing deep issues, suppression, and hurts in the hearts of women to the surface. This ‘surfacing’ must happen or take place before you are able to come into spiritual and emotional maturity. Like Naaman, It will become increasingly harder to continue hiding the issues and hurts of insecurity and rejection. The Spirit is speaking in love and gentleness to say that it’s okay to let it come to the surface regardless of how complex and difficult it may seem. The Lord can only shine the light of his love upon us when we purposefully allow what is buried deep or even painfully within us to surface before Him. Like Naaman, it will be very difficult because of the fear of being exposed. The Lord will not embarrass us – but we must come to him with our personal issues or ‘leprosies’ exposed if we desire true freedom and inner healing as we move into our preordained destiny.

We also notice that in one of Naaman’s campaigns or raids into Israel, he captured a young Jewish girl whom would become a slave or servant. In this story, we always seem to focus on either Naaman or the prophet Elisha. But I would like to share a little about this young lady and share a few things prophetically which will unfold throughout the remainder of the year 2017 in those women who will embrace rather than hide the pain that leads to gain.

What really strikes me was her conscious willingness to help Naaman. It’s important to remember that this girl was taken captive by Naaman and given to his wife as a slave. She was torn from her family and all whom she knew and dragged into a foreign and strange land. She must have been extremely lonely and felt terribly isolated. Many of us, (men included) are lonely even though many people may be constantly around us. I spoke a word once in a congregation that I attended several years ago concerning women who were lonely. The front of the church was immediately full with broken and tender hearts as well as lonely hearts. Much of this was easily discerned due to the lack of tender, compassionate and consistent love from husbands, relatives, and friends. Our modern era has produced a busyness whose offspring is superficiality. The Lord desires to remove the spiritual paralysis of loneliness today! Not only is the Lord supplying a deep inner work in the lives and hearts of women, He is also performing a supernatural work in the hearts of husbands, friendships, and past separations to understand the value of genuine care. Like Naaman, the most unpredictable people will begin speaking life and love into your spirit and soul.

And it shall be in that day, Says the Lord, that you will call Me: ‘My Husband’ And no longer call Me ‘my Master.’ I will betroth you to Me forever; Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness and justice, in loving-kindness and mercy; I will betroth you to Me in faithfulness, And you shall know Me.

You may be living in a situation like the servant girl who was without hope for a husband, motherhood, or meaningful relationships. You may be single and wondering if a godly and loving-kind man even exists! On the other hand, you may be married and have everything you could ever ask for in a family, but have a deep spiritual loneliness. One of the deepest  hurts is to have a vision from God that nobody else shares, believes in, and supports.

But take note that your prayers have been heard and lives will be changed because your Bridegroom has become the apple of your eye and your greatest treasure. Yes, you will be rich with contentment, purpose, destiny, and know that I will work all things out together for your good.

God desires that not only you be rich in relationship with Him, but that this relationship becomes the seedbed of deeper relationships with others.

As the days and years passed, this young lady was lonely and certainly hurt. However, her commitment to the Lord birthed a supernatural compassion in her – even for her captor and unjust authority! Her job as a servant did not afford her the freedoms and comforts of many others she saw in her life. She had the mundane job of a house servant and on the surface would seem that she had little to nothing to offer anybody except a “yes mam” or “yes sir.” She may felt that her only words that were heard or considered were: “I’ll get right to it”, “It’s almost done” or “I’ll be right there.”

Most homemakers or stay at home moms realize the value they are to their families and especially if you have children. However, I know many who also feel spiritually mundane and a feeling that they have little to offer the kingdom within the burden of their busy days. The Lord is pouring out His spirit and tremendous anointing upon homemakers and moms and under this anointing – you will not only impact your families, but also to build His kingdom. Divine strategies and purpose will come into clarity. Devine time-management will manifest. Your unique gifts and talents will come into full bloom and he will give you the courage and strength to activate your dreams and destiny. Some of you may have a mundane job in the marketplace just like this servant girl…But because of her commitment and love for the Lord – she would bring something to pass so inspiring that the Lord would choose to put her acts and words in “His Word.” Wow!

Naaman would never have been healed and the testimony of God’s mercy and compassion spoken through the prophet Elisha would have never happened if not for this no-name – unheard of – and very unlikely servant girl. I am sure that she had no idea of how the Lord would use her in such a life and circumstance. Please understand that you are not listening to this by mistake or happenstance. The Lord’s hand is upon your life and regardless of your circumstances, He is going to anoint, empower, and bless you for the glory of His name and kingdom. You may not understand everything this side of heaven, but one thing is sure in that He loves you with an everlasting love and has a destiny and a purpose for your life that has eternal benefits in changing peoples lives and even bringing healing to the Naaman’s in your life. How do I know this? Because this servant girl with no name ever mentioned and with no reputation is being talked about today – thousands of years later! Would she have ever thought it?

2 Kings 5:1-14New International Version (NIV)

Naaman Healed of Leprosy

Now Naaman was commander of the army of the king of Aram. He was a great man in the sight of his master and highly regarded, because through him the Lord had given victory to Aram. He was a valiant soldier, but he had leprosy.[a]

Now bands of raiders from Aram had gone out and had taken captive a young girl from Israel, and she served Naaman’s wife. She said to her mistress, “If only my master would see the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy.”

Naaman went to his master and told him what the girl from Israel had said. “By all means, go,” the king of Aram replied. “I will send a letter to the king of Israel.” So Naaman left, taking with him ten talents[b] of silver, six thousand shekels[c] of gold and ten sets of clothing. The letter that he took to the king of Israel read: “With this letter I am sending my servant Naaman to you so that you may cure him of his leprosy.”

As soon as the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his robes and said, “Am I God? Can I kill and bring back to life? Why does this fellow send someone to me to be cured of his leprosy? See how he is trying to pick a quarrel with me!”

When Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his robes, he sent him this message: “Why have you torn your robes? Have the man come to me and he will know that there is a prophet in Israel.” So Naaman went with his horses and chariots and stopped at the door of Elisha’s house. 10 Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, “Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed.”

11 But Naaman went away angry and said, “I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, wave his hand over the spot and cure me of my leprosy. 12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Couldn’t I wash in them and be cleansed?” So he turned and went off in a rage.

13 Naaman’s servants went to him and said, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you, ‘Wash and be cleansed’!” 14 So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy.
